A Weatherboard Facade Renovation in Gladesville

Can an Old Facade Be Given a Completely New Life?

This Gladesville home came to NCP Constructions after a difficult experience with a previous builder, and the brief was to put things right. The original green fibro exterior and terracotta tile roof gave the home a dated, weathered look that no longer suited the street or the family living there.

The Scope of Work

The Scope of Work

Cladding: green fibro replaced with fresh grey weatherboard-style cladding
Roof: new roofline finished in a dark metal roof
Entrance: a new front door and porch in a bright yellow, giving the facade a clear focal point
Windows: updated window trims finished in white to match the new colour scheme

A Fresh Street Presence

The new grey cladding, dark roof and yellow door work together to give the home a modern, cohesive look while keeping the classic weatherboard cottage feel intact. It’s a good example of how a facade renovation alone, without changing the home’s footprint, can completely change how a property presents to the street.

Facade Updates

Facade upgrades don’t always need a full rebuild to make a real difference. New cladding, a fresh colour scheme, updated window trims or a new front door can transform how a home presents to the street, often for a fraction of the cost of a full renovation. At NCP Constructions, we’ve helped Sydney homeowners refresh their facades in all kinds of styles, from classic weatherboard cottages to more contemporary finishes, always with an eye for what suits the character of the existing home.

“We engaged NCP Constructions following a terrible experience with another builder. Nathan took to our job with concern to right the wrongs and ensure we were left with a job that was completed to a high standard. He and his team tended to and looked after our old house and gave it the new life we had dreamed of. We found Nathan and his team to be professional, courteous and extremely respectful on our site. Nathan’s work ethic and philosophy in client service is exceptional. Thank you NCP Constructions. We finally have our dream house”
